About the Nanak Hotel Group

The Nanak Hotel Group was founded in 2000.

Our name is derived from the Sikh religion, and represents the first guru, whose central teaching embodies our goal: "Work hard, be humble, and always remember God".

Our logo is called the "Khanda", a symbol of Sikhism.

The Nanak Hotel Group's first acquisition was the Quality Inn and Suites in Brattleboro, Vermont. Since acquiring the Quality Inn, the Nanak Hotel Group has opened a Hampton Inn in Brattleboro, VT, the Red Roof Inn & Suites, Killington, VT and will be opening a Hampton Inn and Suites in Keene, NH in 2008.

After many long months of research and discussion, we decided this property could be successful if all of Nanak's principles were applied.

In the first year, a labor of love requiring long and difficult days of work and renovation, ups and downs, we finally turned the corner there and, with this success, became confident enough in our abilities to pursue many more projects in the New England area.

Nanak Hotel Group now operates five hotels and related businesses and are looking forward to many new ventures with our growing and supportive team.

We will, of course, never forget our beginnings! The corporate base of the Nanak Hotel Group is still where we began -- the Quality Inn and Suites in Brattleboro -- and our principles are still those of Nanak:

"Work hard, be humble, and always remember God".
